Dr. Salamanca’s Dream is a conscious acknowledgement of what Joanna Macy coined, The Great Turning, a global shift from industrial growth societies to life-sustaining ones.
Colonized thinking has led humanity, and a billion living species, to the brink of destruction. We create systems that only work for a few folks for a short period of time before being incorporated into everyday living by the masses. Once adopted by the masses these systems become necessary, stripping people of basic human living skills evolved over hundreds of thousands of years. Large corporations and wealthy patrons benefit in the long run from these systems as they extract and exploit the Earth and deaden the human soul.
